Rathmor Winners On Weekend Impress For Nationals

Rathmor had two very exciting results at Greyville over the weekend, with wins from Rathmor-bred Victory Trip and a Gr3 win by the brilliant Gr1 winning filly, Lady In Black.

Rathmor stand the dam of Lady In Black, Mystery Dame.Rathmor Stud have half-siblings to both on offer at the upcoming National Yearling Sale.

Victory Trip notched up her third win on Friday night for owner Mr Mario Ferreira. The Trippi filly out of Victory Garden by Solksjaer has also placed seven times for trainer Dennis Bosch, and earned almost R250 000 in stakes.

Victory Trip (pictured above) has an outstanding half-brother by Silvano at the Nationals as Lot 68, named In Auro. The colt is not one to be missed, and this is the immediate family of Spring Garland, Imbongi, Mahubo and Oracle News, as well as the likes of William Longsword, Real Princess, Kelly and Victory Moon under the third dam.

Lady In Black did not disappoint on Sunday and held on courageously to take the Gr3 Umzimkhulu Stakes at Greyville on the turf over 1400m. The Dynasty filly has a beautiful Oratorio half-sister available from Rathmor at the National Yearling Sale as Lot 214 named The Vow.

Lady In Black has won the Gr1 Thekweni Stakes and Gr1 Cape Fillies Guineas, with a record of four wins and two places from seven starts for trainer Dennis Drier and owners Mrs N Hossack & Mr W J C Mitchell.

Lady In Black was having her first run back since January, where she finished second to Oh Susanna in the Gr1 Paddock Stakes.Lady In Black was crowned Equus Champion 2YO Filly in 2017.
