Nottingham Road farm, the Rathmor Stud, will be offering 15 yearlings (seven as agent) at the 2019 KZN Yearling Sale.
This quality draft includes yearlings by such proven G1 producing stallions as Dynasty, Oratorio and Toreador, as well as lots by the exciting young sires Act Of War, Captain Of All, and Willow Magic.

Deceased champion Dynasty is represented in this draft by Sentry (Lot 113) a regally bred colt, whose War Front sired dam is a full-sister to G1 Maker’s 46 Mile winning sire Data Link. This classically bred colt’s stakes winning granddam is a full-sister to the dam of G1 Donn Handicap hero Hymn Book and this is also the family of Breeders’ Cup winning champion Caledonia Road.

The Dynasty sired Cape Guineas winner Act Of War has two members of his first crop in Rathmor’s draft- a filly (Lot 44) from the same female line as major G1 winners Manila, Stately Don and General Quarters, and a colt (Lot 174) from the family of international group winners CD Europe, Iveagh Gardens, and Truth Or Dare.

Dubawi’s G1 winning son Willow Magic is another exciting sire represented in the Rathmor draft –the former SA Nursery winner is responsible for a colt (Lot 170) whose dam is a half-sister to French group winners Irish Wells and Sign Of The Wolf.

Island Princess (Lot 146) is a filly by proven G1 sire Oratorio, and this filly was produced by Starling Stakes winner Kiribati –whose relatives include the exported Equus Champion Yorker. Cheerleader (Lot 177), who shares her deceased sire Toreador with the G1 winners Bull Valley and Link Man, is a filly from one of the best families in the stud book –with her relatives including such classic winners/champions as Sun Princess, Spectrum, Millenary and Conduit –to name but a few. Toreador is also responsible for Camino Trail (Lot 104) a filly whose 3 time winning dam is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner, and Broodmare Of The Year, Trade Enquiry.

Other intriguingly lots in this draft include the Captain Of All filly (Lot 75) whose dam is a full-sister to Equus Champion Mother Russia, the Noble Tune colt (Lot 94) out of G3 Umzimkhulu Stakes victress Eventual Angel, and  the Noble Tune half-brother (Lot 234) to high class stakes winner Royal Trip.
