The Piemonte Stud will be handsomely represented at the 2019 Emperors Palace National 2YO Sale, which is set to take place in Germiston on August 15th and 16th.
Piemonte will be offering a large draft of 15 two-year-olds at this year’s sale, with their consignment including the offspring of such sires as Act Of War, Capetown Noir, Flying The Flag,  Global View, Ideal World, Oratorio and Toreador.

Exciting young sire Flying The Flag (a Galileo full-brother to 2 multiple G1 winners) has four members of his first crop in this draft. Devonte (Lot 33) is a colt whose dam is a winning Red Ransom daughter of Australian G3 winner Lucky Diva, while Demonte (Lot 62) is a half-brother to 3 winners including recent Listed Zimbabwe Oaks winner Mia Finola.

Flying The Flag is also responsible for Delmatia (Lot 168), a filly whose 3 time winning dam is a half-sister to high-class filly School Assembly, and Deanangelo (Lot 246). The latter, inbred, like champion Enable, to the great Sadler’s Wells, is a half-brother to 3 winners, and his granddam is Thekwini Stakes winner Bridal Paths.

Another exciting young sire represented in Piemonte’s draft is Cape Guineas winner Act Of War –whose son Daichi (Lot 98) is out of a dual winning ¾ sister to high-class millionaire Captain And Master.

Equus Champion Capetown Noir has made a bright start to his stud career, with the triple G1 winner’s first crop including the classy (Piemonte Stud bred) stakes filly Brandina. He is represented here by Denisa (Lot 51) (another inbred to Sadler’s Wells), a filly who hails from the family of US G1 winning filly Tarlow among others.

Proven G1 sires Ideal World, Oratorio and Toreador are also all represented in this draft. Ideal World, whose progeny include recent G1 winners Rainbow Bridge and Samurai Warrior, is the sire of Danilo (Lot 141) a colt whose three time winning dam is a ½ sister to the stakes winner School Assembly. Oratorio, whose progeny have earned in excess of $60 000 000, is the sire of Cario (Lot 331) –a colt out of Listed East Cape Nursery winner Scripture.
Sadly now deceased, Toreador left his mark as the sire of such G1 winners as Bull Valley and Link Man, and the son of Danehill is represented here by a filly (Lot 159) who is a three-parts sister to dual G1 winner Bull Valley.

Other intriguing lots in this draft include the Jackson filly (Lot 308) whose dam is a dual winning half-sister to the graded stakes winning fillies Close The Gap and Cork Wood, and Carola (Lot 341). The latter is a filly from the first crop of Galileo’s high-class son Global View, and this filly is a half-sister to Dahlia Plate winner Alfeo.
