Backworth-bred Mac The Dancer, by Joshua Dancer(USA) out of Miss Unimac(AUS) by Bellotto(USA), broke his maiden Tuesday at Scottsville over 1400m, posting an impressive 4.75 length win under the guidance of jockey Anthony Delpech for trainer Alec Laird.

Mac The Dancer is a half brother to Varlet with 4 wins, Private Collection with 5 wins, Macfire with 5 wins, Chic Happens with 3 wins, and Mac Mufti with 6 wins. He is from the family of Lotkas Star(AUS), joint third top rated three-year-old female over a mile in Australia as well as 9-time Gr 3 winner Windjammer and sire Force Ten – winner of the Gr 1 B & H Metropolitan Stakes and Gr 1 Champion Stakes.

The 3-year-old bay colt takes his career record to 1 win and 2 places from 4 starts. Congratulations to owner Mr Winston Chow.
