Amy Bronkhorst’s Comanche Brave, a Summerhill Stud-bred son of Kahal out of Alami mare Aces Wild, took home the Champions Cup (Listed) at Borrowdale yesterday under Callan Murray.

The four year old Kahal gelding secured his fourth career victory for owners Messrs Duncan Jones, A P Nydam, D C Samuels & S W Shutt and has yet to be out of the money from all eleven starts in Zimbabwe, placing in all others besides his win.

Comanche Brave also placed in the Ipi Tombi Listed in his previous start.

Kahal is currently lying in fifth position on the National Sires Log, with 43% winners to runners.

Clifton Stud’s daughter of AP Answer, a top filly in Zimbabwe named Duffi’s Call, placed third in the Borrowdale Breeders Champions Cup Listed over 2000m.

Well done to all concerned.
