New Predator Sire Producing Leading European Results
New Predator, who will be on show to breeders on 26 July at Bush Hill Stud, has plenty of recent Black Type news from recent European racing results through his superb chestnut sire, New Approach.
Jalmoud (New Approach) recently finished 3rd in the Grand Prix de Paris Gr1 in Paris to Japan, over 2400m, after placing second in the Saint-Cloud Prix Eugene Adam Gr2. In the latter race New Approach also had a third with Flop Shot.
Jalmoud is out of a Danehill Dancer / Indian Ridge mare, the 3yo colt a French Listed winner, and finished less than a length behind Japan in the prominent French Gr1 race.
Battle Of Toro, bred by Godolphin and out of a Redoute’s Choice mare, has placed in two Listed features in the past month. The grey colt is trained by Andre Fabre.
Sire sensation New Approach has produced 438 winners in his lifetime (63.0%), with earnings of over $42 million, 45 stakes winners and 43 stakes places.
New Approach was himself a Champion 2YO & 3YO Colt in Europe in 2007 and 2008, and a British Champion 3YO in 2008. With 8 wins under his belt, he won five prominent British Gr1 races.
New Predator (AUS) trained by Johan Janse Van Vuuren, defeated the likes of Vodacom Durban July winners The Conglomerate and Legislate, as well as Rafeef, Will Pays, Abashiri, Talktothestars, Attenborough and Rabada – all Gr1 winners.
Out of a Fastnet Rock mare, top class Sprinter-Miler New Predator stamped himself as a force to be reckoned with on the track, producing a Merit Rating of 114 and a dual Gr2 winner.
