Putney Flyer Gains More Black Type For Miesque’s Approval

Putney Flyer, a big handsome dark bay son of Miesque’s Approval standing at Scott Bros, won the Kenilworth Cup Listed over 3200m at Kenilworth on Saturday.

Out of Fort Wood mare Tiptoethruthewoods, Putney Flyer was bred by Mr JF Van Streepen, trained by Darryl Hodgson and owned by Hassan Adams. A R100 000 2010 National Yearling Sales graduate, consigned by Bosworth Farms, Putney Flyer has earned R426 785 in stakes.

The six year old gelding has been consistent in his form, winning three times and placing 18 times – including three lengths off Puntas Arenas in the Gr3 Winter Derby, the Gr3 Cape Summer Stayers Handicap, two lengths off in the Gr2 J&B Jet Stayers, as well as fourth in the Gr2 Gold Vase behind Kolkata.
