Crusade(USA) First Mares Tested In Foal
Gr 1 Middle Park Stakes winner Crusade has got his first season at stud off to a smashing start, getting his first group of mares including a Gr 2 winner confirmed in foal.
Amongst the mares tested in foal is Gr 2 Debutante Stakes winner and maiden mare Tempted by Jallad (out of Tempter by Southern Halo), she is owned by Greg Royden-Turner of Roski Stud.
Messers Cirigliano and Wishart have sent their mare – four-time winning daughter of Labeeb named Secret Babe. The Pinnacle Stakes winner who also placed in the Gr 3 Jacaranda Handicap and Gr 2 KRA Guineas has also been confirmed in foal.
Peter Blyth of Clifton Stud reports that four of his mares sent to Crusade have all been confirmed in foal, including six-time winning Joshua Dancer mare True Lily. This mare descends from the exceptional family of Lily, her fourth dam.
The son of Mr Greeley out of La Traviata by Johannesburg, Crusade stands for a fee of R20 000 (R5 000 nom + R15 000 live foal) at Scott Bros’ Highdown Stud.
