Putchini – 11th Win in 112th Run
Yellow Star’s special Bezrin gelding, who is now nine years old, proved that he still has it when winning his 11th race in his 112th start yesterday at Hollywoodbets Greyville.
Gold Circle honoured the gelding with a special blanket when he had has 100th race.
Owned by Ashley De Klerk, he was given a great ride by Jabu Jacobs for trainer Ivan Van Wyk. The gelding is trained off the farm of his birth in Mooi River, Yellow Star Stud.
The chestnut who is as sound as a bell, reportedly has never needed an emergency veterinary visit aside from routine work that goes into the care of maintenance of a racehorse.
He has earned almost R800 000 in stakes.
Bezrin produced a double last week for St John Gray, and stands at Hadlow Stud.
