More Stakes Wins For Capetown Noir – Jaeger Moon Wins 6th Race To Take Guineas

Capetown Noir added more Black Type to his stud record when Jaeger Moon won the his sixth consecutive race in a row to get some well deserved Bold Black Type behind his name, taking the East Cape Guineas Listed.

The Gavin Smith trained Jaeger Moon is a half-brother to multiple stayer type Before Noon, who placed 2nd in the Dstv Gold Vase behind Dynastys Blossom.

Out of a Parade Leader mare and owned by Mr F Burggraaf, the 3yo colt sold for R140 000 off the 2019 BSA Ready To Run Sale, bred and consigned by Summerhill Stud.

This is a female line that has served South Africa well – that of Abashiri, Donya, Yard Arm, Just Chaos and Flichitty By Farr more recently.

Capetown Noir’s handsome son Bohica recently finished 2nd in the Gr2 Senor Santa, leading to the finish only to get pipped on the line by a flying Vars Vicky.

Two year old filly for trainer Sean Tarry, Under Your Spell, is an unbeaten half-sister to Witchcraft and looks an exciting prospect – winning the Ruffian Listed last time out.

Triple Gr1 winer and a Guineas specialist himself, Capetown Noir can often be seen from the road in Summerveld standing in his luxurious paddock, based at Piemonte Stud.

Piemonte Stud were the first to give him Black Type, when their filly Brandina finished 2nd in the East Cape Fillies Nursery Listed, raced by the Scribantes.
