Comment:
Lot 42 is by one of Western Winters most talented sons, Lion Tamer, who was 2nd in the J&B Met, and winner of the Grade 1 Astropac 1900. The dam is out of Rebel Qui, herself the dam of multiple winners: Rebel Patriot, Polish Rebel (dam of Regal Eagle), Ravenscraig, Rebellious Streak and Patriotic Rebel. This filly has been bred on a similar cross to that which produced Winter Burst, and is a full sister to Wimoweh.

Lot 46 is by Kahal – renowned as a sire of high class fillies. Kith and Kin looks to be no exception. This filly is out of Rebel Qui, and is the half sister to a number of successful thoroughbreds, including Patriotic Rebel, who was placed 4th in the Cape Derby and the KZN Derby. Kith and Kin is bred along the same lines as Dancethruthedawn, Morning Pride and Fusachi Pegasus. This is a 20/20 mating.

His dam, Eastern Marque, is a 5 time winner, out of Martha, half sister to Lake Baikhal, winner of the Flamboyant Stakes. This colt is a striking individual, who seems set to have an early start to his racing career. p>
