It was with great sadness and shock that we heard of Wally Brits’ untimely passing.

Wally was an enormous character with a larger than life take on things. Wally had a loud and jovial personality and a passion for his friends and racing, both horses and pigeons that was to be envied.

Wally enjoyed great success on the race course sharing the winner’s circle with his long-time trainer and bosom buddy Roy Magner. His vivre for life and love for his family was wonderful to see and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Wally also had breeding interests, owning the stallion Damage Is Done and involved in several prolific racehorses including Air Combat, Cookie Monster and Shattered Image.

The Memorial service for Walter Elliot Brits will be held on the 10th of September 2013 at 11am at:

St Saviours Church
18 King Willow Crescent
