Backworth Stud: Champagne Wishes And Caviar Dreams

Backworth-bred Caviar, by Var(USA) out of Lewinsky Lover by Jallad(USA), broke her maiden in fine style Sunday at Scottsville over 1000m, with an impressive five length winning margin under jockey Anthony Delpech.

Congratulations to trainer Colin Scott and owners Rob Scott, Two Oceans Racing Syndicate (nom Mr K Steinberg) and other connections.

Caviar is from the family of Soho Secret; ARCSA Champion Broodmare in 1995, Kings Gambit; Equus Champion Stayer in 2008, London News; ARCSA Champion Three-Year-Old Colt and Horse of The Year in 1995 and Champion Older Male and Horse Of The Year in 1996, and Promisefrommyheart; Equus Champion Three-Year-Old Classic Female in 2004.

Lewinsky’s Lover recently foaled a beautiful filly by Muhtafal(USA) this season at Backworth.

Caviar has now placed and won from all three of her starts.

Caviar is a graduate from the Backworth draft of the 2011 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.
