KZN farms excelled at the recent November 2YO Sale – with horses for smart six figures selling from Summerview, Clifton, Bush Hill Stud.

The top priced #kznbred was a handsome colt bred and consigned by Gary and Colleen de Klerk of Summerview Stud.

The half-brother to Aryaam by Vercingetorix was seen out frequently for viewing in the sales yard and was knocked down to Greg Bortz after active bidding for R620 000, the third highest price of the sale.

Summerview brought a very smart draft and included a flashy half-sister to Matador Man and Hawker Typhoon by Master Of My Fate. She sold for R260 000 to Jonathan Nassif, a part owner of Matador Man.

Peter and Jenny Blyth enjoyed a wonderful sale, kicking off with Lot 2 sold for R280 000 – the first foal of Fashion Talk by Master Of My Fate. It is the great Clifton family of Prince Of Kahal, Whatalady and Fort Vogue. Their top lot named Destiny Of Souls, by Master Of My Fate out of Almost Heaven, sold for R420 000 to the ASSM Racing Syndicate. This is the family of Victory Moon, William Longsword, Imbongi and Mahubo.

The astute Form Bloodstock purchased Port Quin Bay by Gimmethegreenlight out of Polzeath for R300 000. The Singspiel broodmare has produced four winners from four previous foals and this is the family of Gr1 winner, Tinners Way.

Rabada’s progeny impressed, as yet another beautifully presented 2yo from Summerview out of Gr3 winner La Pucelle, sold for R150 000. This was followed by Lot 36 Zatara Magic, a tall colt who is a half-brother to KZN Breeders Awards stayer nominees – Jaeger Moon and Before Noon. This is the family of Abashiri and Yard Arm.

Congratulations to Summerview Stud who averaged R196 667 for six horses sold, Clifton followed with R148 182 for 11 Lots sold, and Bush Hill R124 286 for seven Lots.

Congratulations on a great sale!
