Double For Summerview Mare Al Kindi

Summerview mare Al Kindi produced a double at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Wednesday.

The well put together daughter of Fort Wood also gave sire Rafeef his second career winner with Maiden Juvenile Plate victress Civil Rights – and in the process also gave Sterling Miller his first double as an owner when 3yo Kind Judy (Judpot) took home Race 8.

Both fillies were purchased from the 2019 Moutonshoek Dispersal Sale for R35 000 and R15 000 respectively.

Colleen De Klerk of Summerview Stud reports that Al Kindi made the trip to Drakenstein Stud and has been covered by Lancaster Bomber, an exciting son of War Front whose first foals are on the ground this season.

Al Kindi is a half-sister to Gr1 placed Noble Secret, from the family of Honour and Glory, Piemonte’s Celestina and Australian based SAF-bred and KZN-bred mare, Noble Heir – the dam of Australian Gr3 winner, Crown Witness.

Summerview Stud have a quality draft of broodmares, including the smart dam of Gr1 placed, multiple and feature winner Matador Man – the daughter of Mogok named Sahara.
