Another For Act Of War!

Things are hotting up for Summerhill Equestrian’s Gr1 winning son of Dynasty, who produced a flying winner at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday.

The filly named Snatched, owned by the Mauritian syndicate – the Purple Kingdom Syndicate with owners as far as Australian – won for trainer Gareth Van Zyl under a brilliant ride from Anton Marcus in the purple and lilac chevron colours.

Act Of War has had 5 wins this season. Snatched sold for just R40 000 off the 2019 Ready To Run Sale, and appreciated the step up in trip to 1900m to win at the 3rd time of asking by three lengths, and going away. The dam by Rambo Dancer has also produced 4-time winner by Golden Sword, Seeking Gold and Black Type Bated Breath, by Brave Tin Soldier.

It is the family of Right Royal Rage, Rusty Pelican and Princely Heir.

His star daughter recently won again, War Of Athena, for Paul Matchett. She defeated Gr2 winner Ecstatic Green, a run just after her Gr1 2nd placed by a neck to the unbeaten Anything Goes. She is now a 3-time winner who has placed four times from eight starts, and also Gr1 placed behind Vernichey.

Act Of War also has the smart Stakes Placed Stella Act, in training with Glen Kotzen. There is a full sister coming up on offer at the National 2YO Sale consigned by Rathmor Stud as agent. This is the female line of sire Linney Head.

Amongst the 7 national 2 year olds on offer at the upcoming sale is a half-brother to Gr1 placed Silent Call from the dam line of Its My Turn, and another from Clifton Stud which is a half to Dante’s Legacy.

Act Of War was recently purchased by Henning Pretorius of Summerhill Equestrian where the stallion stands. And 8-time winner who stands tall at 16.2hh, he is being offered at a reduced fee to assist breeders – which is available on application to the stud.

Congratulations to all concerned.
