The legacy of the “Iron Horse” Giant’s Causeway is set to continue in this year’s 142nd running of the Gr.1 Kentucky Derby with 3 possible representatives in the form of BRODY’s CAUSE, last to first winner of the Gr.1 Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland; DESTIN, the Todd Pletcher trained winner of the Gr.2 Tampa Bay Derby and MOR SPIRIT, a son of Eskendereya, the brilliant 2 year old son of Giant’s Causeway whose career was cut short by injury. Mor Spirit was runner up in the prestigious Gr.1 Santa Anita Derby. The “Run For The Roses” takes place on Saturday, 7 May at Churchill Downs, Kentucky.
You can purchase your own piece of the “Iron Horse” when his brilliantly fast French-trained son, Eightfold Path, makes his Sales debut at Bloodstock South Africa’s National Yearling Sale on 27 – 29 April.
