R200 000 Bonus To the KZN-Bred That Wins The 2017 KZN Yearling Sale Million
The KZN Breeders Club are once again offering a bonus of R200 000 to the KZN-Bred (registered with the KZN Breeders Premium Scheme) that may win the KZN Yearling Sale Million on Vodacom Durban July day this year.
The race exclusively held on July day, implemented by the KZN Breeders Club to bolster the KZN Yearling Sale, is open to all graduates of the 2016 KZN Yearling Sale who “ticked the box”.
KZN-bred yearlings who graduate off the 2017 KZN Yearling Sale will qualify for the R200 000 bonus for the incentive race in 2018. Bloodstock South Africa have also in addition, implemented a R40 000 bonus to their 2017 BSA yearling sale graduates, who win their maiden juvenile plate in 2018.
The race has in previous years been won by KZN-breds’ Virgo’s Babe (Malhub) and Cutting Edge (AP Answer), whilst perhaps its most famous winner overall has been Klawervlei Stud-bred Gr1 winner and UK based, Same Jurisdiction.
The KZN Yearling Sale has amongst its graduates KZN-Bred Gr1 winners Wild One and Seal, whilst other Graded Stakes / Listed winners include the likes of Virgo’s Babe, O Tamara, Jimmi Choo, Colour Of Courage and Royal Pleasure.
This years sale will see the first progeny on sale by stallions Noble Tune, The Assayer, Redoute’s Promise, Al Miqdaam and Ato. The sale takes place at Sibaya Casino on 29 and 30 June.
KZN-breds at the sale will be easily identifiable by stable door posters (below) and hip stickers in the sales ring.
