Backworth Stud enjoyed John Kramer and Kerry Jackโs visit to inspect our yearlings nominated for the 2013 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale, and are pleased to share that despite bad weather, our โnominated yearlingsโ were well received. The horses did themselves proud averaging a score of 8.5 with a few 9 toppers.
There is a good stallion mix in the draft, with Western Winter, Silvano, Trippi, Kahal, Muhtafal and Miesqueโs Approval stamping their mark.
There are always a few that take oneโs eye, and in particular is the big rangey grey Silvano filly โAquinataโ out of Tsunami who really has a commanding presence. The Western Winter filly โCold Factโ is a strong workmanlike specimen, whilst the Miesqueโs Approval colt โHumidorโ out of Lewinskyโs Lover is very impressive showing plenty quality.
We are some months off the sales, and preparation is just beginning, so we look forward to sharing their development over the next few months.
