Got The Greenlight First Mares Confirmed In Foal
Five time Gr1 winner and Equus Champion 2YO and 3YO of his generation, Got The Greenlight has had his first mares confirmed in foal.
Standing at Camargue Stud in Caversham, the son of Champion sire Gimmethegreenlight and the first at stud in South Africa has a full book for his first season, including visiting mares from the Cape and the dams of two Gr1 winners.
Some of his maiden mares include Mount Laurel (Ideal World), the beautifully bred Princess Anastasia (Silvano), Only The Brave (Act Of War) and multiple winning filly Varvacious (Var).
Other mares include Gr2 Fillies Guineas runner up Mary O, multiple winner Linear, Flichity (the dam of leading staying mare Flichity By Farr), multiple Graded Stakes producing mare Summer Angel and Miss Bulsara – a full sister to Bulsara from the family of Marina and Marinaresco.
Other notables include Romantic Moon (dam of 5-time winner Lunar Rush) and Captain Al mare Copiapo, the dam of talented Gimmethegreenlight colt, Laguna Verde.
Gimmethegreenlight’s first son to go to stud is Yulong Prince, a Gr1 winner in South Africa and Australia who covered his first season in 2021 at Yulong Stud in Australia.
It is exciting times for KZN to stand a stallion of this calibre and we look forward to his first foals to come in 2023.
