Carpocrates, from a small crop of runners has already had three winners and five placings. His winners include Night Club, Extra Zing and Zirconia.

A world-record priced weanling himself, Carpocrates has to be one of the best-bred stallions brought to this country and with such a young crop of runners already having significant success, he is sure to be a stallion to keep a watch of – and with his impeccable pedigree and looks he could quite possibly be a broodmare-sire for the future.

Carpocrates’ has two full-brothers, one being the chestnut Plan who is standing at stud at Adena Springs in Canada, covering his book of mares last year. His wins at the racetrack include the Gr 3 Keenland International Stakes. The other is a colt in Japan named Calcaria who is a 6-time winner.

Carpocrates is represented by a two-year old at the upcoming TBA National Two Year Old Sale, Lot 126 named Double Cut, bred and consigned by Middlefield Stud. The bay colt is a first produce out of two-time winning mare Stiletto, herself by Muhtafal out of a Russian Fox mare. This the family of Zimbabwean Graded Stakes winners Sharp Wit, Titled and Irish Comet. The third dam is a seven-time winner in both the UK and Zimbabwe, crowned a champion three year old in Zimbabwe – named Saxon Star(GB).
