Royal Wulff Wins 4th Race In A Row

Royal Wulff, a Clifton-bred son of Crusade out of Kahal mare, Conne Mara Black, won his fourth race in a row this afternoon at Turffontein.

Trained by Alec Laird and owned in partnership by Messrs A G Laird, C J Brink, D J de Wet, C Gordon, M J Marx and Dylan Smith, the 3yo gelding has not been out of the money on 10 occasions – placing 3rd four times and 2nd twice.

Royal Wulff has been a bargain purchase, having sold for just R80 000 at the 2019 KZN Yearling Sale. This is the family of American Storm and 13-time winner including the Gr2 Tibouchina, Polly Bisqui.

Peter and Jenny Blyth’s Clifton Stud stand Mambo In Seattle, having stood Crusade previously.

Clifton Stud are enjoying a consistent season with almost 33% winners to runners to date.
