KZN Mixed Sale Results 2013

The KZN Mixed Sale took place at Aldora Stud on Wednesday and saw St Helier Stud’s Syd Rosseau purchase the top-priced mare sold by Summerhill Sales for R130 000. Lot 55, named Fair Finn by National Emblem out of Nobely Known, is a half-sister to J&B Met winner Angus. She is currently in foal to Brave Tin Soldier.

The top-priced weanling was a colt sold by Invermooi Stud by Mogok out of Withstand The Wind – out of a mare who is a full-sister to Jet Master. The unnamed weanling was sold to G Kahan for R135 000, as Lot 98.

The top-selling filly for stud was Lot 62 Hargraves Bell, bought by Avontuur Farm for R60 000. The filly with a royal pedigree – by Royal Academy out of a Danehill mare, is a winner and has placed five times.
