KZN Breeders Golf Day A Big Success

KZN Breeders Golf Day A Big Success

The KZN Breeders Golf Day took place in magnificent warm Durban winter weather with the who’s who of horse racing and breeding participating and a lot of fun was had by all. Twenty-five 4-balls were booked, making it one of the biggest golf day’s Royal Durban reported back.

Congratulations to Bradley McHardy who scored 43 to win overall, and his team consisting of Devon McHardy, Mike McHardy and Wayne Badenhorst took home the beautiful silver floating trophy donated by Ben Jonsson in 2013 for the top team of the day.

The day concluded with Gold Circle’s Graeme Hawkins kindly hosting our prize-giving which saw over R100 000 in prizes being given away.

Each 4-ball received a prize on the evening, and there were plenty of give-aways including a weekend away from sponsors’ Gooderson Leisure, along with R50 000 worth of yearling vouchers towards the upcoming Suncoast KZN Yearling Sale, R10 000 vouchers from the Scott Bros’ towards the purchase of a yearling and Peter Gibson gave away a service to Eightfold Path, which was won by veterinarian Manfred Rohwer.

A big thank you to Phil Georgiou and Stewart MacGregor who were instrumental in making the day a huge success, as well as to our sponsors: Abloy Locks, Bradley McHardy Pre-training, Choice Carriers, iKind Media, Dennis Drier Racing Stables, Eightfold Path, Scott Bros, Summerhill Stud, Equine Administration, Gold Circle, Track And Ball, Soccer Pools, Executrade, Martin Auctioneers, La Bella Restaurant and Gooderson Leisure.

We look forward to another brilliant day next year!
