| Gran Blanco Entered For 2013 National Yearling Sale |
A visit to Rathmor Stud to see their famous white colt, Gran Blanco, reveals a very well-grown and mature yearling colt. He is a standout from the crowd, immediately catching your eye in the beautiful landscape of Rathmor Stud’s rolling green paddocks and his fellow paddock mates.
Michael McHardy points out that he is beginning to lose his winter coat – revealing dark spots beneath his chest which may well be present over his whole body – but that remains to be seen until his winter coat is completely shed.
Gran Blanco looks set to be a big horse once he has full-matured, very much in the mould of his Champion sire Kahal. The colt has an outstanding temperament, a very confident and friendly disposition to match and enjoys attention, willingly coming for a pat and rub.
The colt has been registered as a white horse with the relevant authorities. Next month he features in the newly-launched International Horseracing Magazine.
