If there is any horse in the country that can repeat another Grade 1 winning performance, it is the KZN-Bred Dancewiththedevil once again under Gavin Lerena tonight in the L Jaffee Empress Club Stakes Grade 1.

She won the race in 2010 by four lengths from Welwitchsia, who will face her again tonight at Turffontein in Race 7.

Dancewiththedevil won the Grade 1 Horse Chestnut Stakes by 3.5 lengths on 31 March against a strong field of colts and geldings, including defeating Rudra into second place, with Solo Traveller and Kavanagh following.

Bred, owned and trained by St John Gray, the KZN Breeders Horse-Of-The-Year is sitting at the top of the Log nationally, with stakes of R1 858 000 earned just this season alone, ahead of Igugu(AUS) by almost R200 000.

Dancewiththedevil now has an incredible five Grade 1 wins under her belt including the Sansui Summer Cup last year, as well as the Grade 3 Acacia Handicap, and she has placed second in the Joburg Spring Fillies and Mares Challenge Grade 3.

In total the first-class mare has had 20 starts, 9 wins including 6 Stakes wins and four places. Dancewiththedevil has earned over R3,8 million in stakes.
