Hadlow Stud will be offering four yearlings, each sired by a G1 winning stallion, at this year’s National Yearling Sale.
The consignment is made up of a filly by Querari and colts by all of Canford Cliffs, Pomodoro and Rafeef.
Querari, South Africa’s Leading Sire of 2YOs in 2018-2019, is the sire of Scarlet Woman (Lot 297), a filly out of a winning Jet Master half-sister to the dam of G3 winning two-year-old Captain Chaos, and further back, this is the family of G1 winners Nania, Red Ray and Rudra.
Five time G1 winner Canford Cliffs, already sire of 40 black type horses, is represented here by a well bred colt (Lot 356) whose dam is a winning Var half-sister to the stakes placed dam of this season’s star three-year-old Kommetdieding, and this is also the family of triple G1 winner Captain America and fellow graded stakes winners Aquitaine and Pirate’s Gold.
Cielo Blu (Lot 389), a colt by July winner and proven G1 sire Pomodoro, is out of a winning own sister to Winter Series hero African Night Sky, while the only yearling in this draft by G1 Computaform Sprint winner Rafeef is Hiyat (Lot 417) -a half-brother to 7 winners including the stakes placed pair of Smart Colleen and Troop The Colour.
Hiyat, who also numbers smart Hong Kong performer Travel Comforts as a half-brother, is out of a winning daughter of former Fillies Guineas winner Dog Rose.
The 2021 National Sale is set to take place in Germiston on April 15th and 16th and the catalogue can be viewed online at www.bsa.co.za
