Gary and Colleen De Klerk of Summerview Stud have welcomed their first foal from Mogok mare Sahara, a flashy filly by Master Of My Fate.

Summerview purchased the mare off the Scott Bros Dispersal Sale for R170 000 in foal to Crusade – Gary says the Crusade is a smashing individual who will be headed to the KZN Yearling Sale in 2020. Sahara┬áis the dam of Gr1 placed and Stakes Winning Matador Man (Toreador).

Sahara in total has produced 5 foals and 4 winners, including Desert Fighter (3 wins) and Sand Princess (Crusade). She has a lovely 2017 unraced full sister to Matador Man to come through.

Gary advises that Sahara will be heading to Kimberley shortly to be covered by Mauritzfontein’s exciting grey Gr1 winning son of Deep Impact, Danon Platina.
