The nominees for the KZN Breeders Awards to be held on 26 November 2016 have been announced, with our Equus National Champion Breeders Summerhill Stud dominating the various categories with 14 nominations, amongst them the likes of Rabada, No Worries, Heaps Of Fun, Intergalactic, Witchcraft and Arch Rival.
A few foals pictured from around the stud farms in KZN this season, including sires Noble Tune, first foals from Capetown Noir and Linngari, Var, Warm White Night, Curved Ball, Crusade and Mogok.

KZN-bred juvenile Argonaut filly, O Tamara, has won the Lady Slipper Stakes (Listed) at Fairview today over 1400m under Andrew Fortune. The filly is bred by Lee and Dino Scribante’s Piemonte Stud, out of Spectrum mare Syncopate, and owned by Lee Scribante and his brother in partnership, trained by Alan Greef.
