KZN Breeders Awards 2016 – The Winners!

Entries have opened for the KZN Breeders Series of eight races at a stake of R200 000 each, held on KZN Breeders Race Day taking place in Sunday 25 June 2017, and last year saw a record with almost 900 horses entered for the day. Download Form in link.

The nominees for the KZN Breeders Awards to be held on 26 November 2016 have been announced, with our Equus National Champion Breeders Summerhill Stud dominating the various categories with 14 nominations, amongst them the likes of Rabada, No Worries, Heaps Of Fun, Intergalactic, Witchcraft and Arch Rival.
KZN’s National 2YO Sale results saw Piemonte Stud sell a lovely chestnut Silvano filly for R160 000 while Scott Bros sold two horses – a Crusade and a Mogok for R100 000 each.

Mick Goss and the team at Summerhill Stud have achieved an outstanding accolade of National Leading Breeder for the 10th time – nine of those consecutively, after the final curtain came down on the eLan Gold Cup race day, yesterday at Greyville.
The KZN Mare, Weanling, HIT, Yearlings and Fillies For Stud Sale took place on 4 July at the Royal Agricultural Show grounds and saw 50 horses catalogued.
