Entries have opened for the KZN Breeders Series of seven races at a stake of R200 000 each, held on KZN Breeders Race Day taking place in Saturday, 30 June 2018, and last year saw 700 horses entered for the day.

Crusade’s three year olds are flying and he produced his first double yesterday at Greyville for trainers Paul Lafferty and Dean Kannemeyer, whilst KZN breeder Mr Shakti Bunwarie enjoyed a double on the day.
Run Rhino Run, bred by the former Aldora Stud in Nottingham Road, shocked the Sunday afternoon punters at Greyville with a 21.25 length win over a marathon 3000m. It was a goosebump moment as the Greyville crowd watched the Silvano corner and cheered Serino home under his hard pulling mount.

The first Leg of four of the inaugural KZN Breeders “Level The Playing Field Series” saw 21 horses line up at Scottsville yesterday over two pools, with Yellow Star-bred Putchini taking the first pool of the day from a strong field for owner Ashley De Klerk and stakes money of R100 000, whilst Glen Kotzen trained Royal Agree grabbed the second pool on the day.
