Backworth Stud: Island Fiesta Fires At Clairwood

Wendy Whitehead-trained Island Fiesta (Miesque’s Approval - Bermuda Junction by Is It True) won a great race over 1200m at Clairwood Sunday under a determined ride from champion jockey Anton Marcus.
The four time winner, Crissy Sanchez (Toreador - Antonia’s Lass), followed 2 lengths behind in second with Kimberley Classic winner, Count Dumani (Count Dubois - Rosefields), half a nose behind in third.
