Coin Spinner Wins Two On The Trot

Blue Sky Thoroughbreds-bred Coin Spinner (William Longsword) made it two on the trot, winning impressively after breaking his maiden for trainer Tony Rivalland and owners Messrs Sadha Naidoo, Robert Maingard and Mrs M D J Liley.

Bred by the partnership of Bruce Le Roux and Tinus Gericke as Blue Sky Thoroughbreds, who are setting up shop at the former Yellow Star Stud, the handsome colt was an attraction at the National Yearling Sale and sold for R475 000.

Out of a Western Winter mare, he has a superb pedigree – his dam is an own-sister to Solo Traveller, Redberry Lane, Strawberry Ice and the dam of Flying Ice, finding the roots of the pedigree back to KZN with former Scott Bros import, Taineberry.

The gelding has only been out of the money on one occasion.

Well done to all concerned. Blue Sky have had 3 wins from six runners this season.
