Summerhill have produced more winners this season (nine ahead of the second placed farm according to current nhra stats -3 December) than any other stud in the top 10 breeders log. There is a thought that you can predict what is to come in the future based on the past – if Summerhill’s ten year leading breeder accolades are anything to go by, their draft is to be respected.
The sale, conducted by Jan Naude and Caroline Simpson’s Livestock Auctions, achieved an aggregate of R4 145 000, with an average of R69 083 and a top price of R380 000 paid by Bobby Rajhuhanan for a beautiful Visionaire colt. – Turf Talk

Bruce Le Roux ended the 2016/2017 racing season on an impressive 49% winners to runners ratio.
The National 2YO Sale has produced amongst others KZN-breds Gr1 winner and Equus Champion Sprinter Talktothestars, as well as the recent Million Mile (and Stakes winner), Gr1 aimed Matador Man and international globe-trotting multiple Group Winner The Apache, who was famously purchased for R80 000 and earned in excess of R17 million.
Rathmor Stud once again did KZN proud as they dominated the KZN Yearling Sale on Day 1, topping the sale with an outstanding Duke Of Marmalade filly who sold for R460 000 to Team G Racing. KZN topped the first three places on the top prices of the day – after Rathmor’s Lot 25 Cést…
