Magical, a 2YO sister to Gr1 Fillies’ Mile winner and English 1,000 Guineas & English Oaks placegetter Rhododendron and Bush Hill Stud’s resident international Group winning sire Flying The Flag, got off the mark when scoring by a head in Ireland on Tuesday.
Flying The Flag’s full sister finishes second in the Gr1 Investec Oaks. “That was a real Oaks,” exclaimed Gosden. “The drama before and the flash of lightning as they were loading – it was all a bit Hollywood. I thought they were two magnificent fillies; they fought hard down the straight.”
