Clifton Stud’s National Yearling Sale draft features a half-sister by Toreador to Bezanova, a half-brother to The Plunderer, and the first crop of Crusade and Irish Flame.
The Scott bros are proud to present their National Yearling Sales draft for 2016, which includes a full brother to Gr1 winner Orbison, a Mogok half-brother to recent Gr2 winner Talktothestars, as well as the first yearling crop from “the speed twins”, Gr1 Middle Park Stakes winner Crusade, and French Gr3 winner Eightfold Path.
Graeme Hawkins once again did the honours as auctioneer on behalf of Michael Holmes Bloodstock, with buyers from across the country descending on the leading stud farm in South Africa to find another of the likes of No Worries, Tomorrow’s Miss and Flyfirstclass, graduates of this sale in the past recent years.

The first entries closed in December and the growth of the KZN Breeders Race Day, one of the biggest on Gold Circle’s racing calendar after the Vodacom Durban July by stakes on offer, has increased incredibly each year – this is the third year running and saw an astounding 913 entries received for horses that are of two years of age and up. Our first entries in 2013 for the KZN Breeders Series saw over 600 horses entered in the first year.
