Wood-Moore Manor Stud is privately owned by HIH Count & HSH Countess of Königsberg, who focus on selectively breeding certain and potent bloodlines. The progeny are never sold, but rather go into racing, with the intent showcasing their quality racehorses, through their breeding.

Prussian Power comes with a top class “royal” South African pedigree. His sire Badger’s Drift not only won two legs of South Africa’s Triple Crown, but he was Champion Freshman Sire in 2007, and topped of the Stallions list in 2015 with an impressive strike rate of 72% winners to runners. Although unraced due to injury, Prussian Power possesses all the championship qualities of his great sire, with an elegant and powerful conformation, indicative of soundness, which he will no doubt pass down to his progeny

Champion BADGER’S DRIFT’s legacy now lives on with his only active son at Stud Prussian Power, who was unraced due to an injury sustained in training, is out of the phenomenal Dam line of PRUSSIA PRINCESS (by GOLDEN THATCH). Prussian Princess is a half sister to IMPERIOUS SUE, ARCSA Champion Older Female in 1997 and the dam of Blue Heather and Imperious Star, in turn the dam of Sunset Tripp and Thumbs Up. This is the female line of Hidden Beauty, Royal Air Force and Imbongi, Spring Garland, Kelly and Victory Moon. Imperious Star, a daughter of Imperious Sue recently sold for R320 000 at the Lammerskraal Stud reduction sale.
