RATHMOR TO OFFER SEVEN AT NATIONAL 2YO SALE
Nottingham Road farm, Rathmor Stud, will be offering seven lots at this year’s Emperors Palace National 2YO Sale, with their draft offering two-year-olds by a host of different stallions.
Former Cape Guineas winner Act Of War, whose early runners including rising star War Of Athena, is represented here by a full-sister (Lot 35 pictured above) to the stakes placed filly Stella Act. Out of a daughter of top sire and broodmare sire Anabaa, the filly hails from an exceptional international family with her relatives including the versatile, dual G1 winner General Quarters and successful sire Targowice.
Storm Cat horse Brave Tin Soldier, whose progeny include such notable G1 winners as Brave Mary and Rabada, has two lots in Rathmor’s draft. They include a regally bred filly (Lot 47) whose granddam is a half-sister to G1 Thekwini Stakes winner Amanee as well as the dam of G1 Breeders’ Cup Mile winning sire Karakontie, and a colt (Lot 335) whose granddam is speedy G3 Southern Cross Stakes winner Popular Girl.
Indian Ridge’s multiple G1 winning son Linngari has four lots on offer including a colt (Lot 122) out of a half-sister to the dam of G2 Durban Golden Horseshoe winner Nourbese, a filly (Lot 282) whose dam is a winning half-sister to G2 Peninsula Handicap winner Lion In Winter, and a colt (Lot 332) out of a half-sister to G2 Gerald Rosenberg Stakes winner Trophy Wife.
