THE FORT STUD STRONGLY REPRESENTED AT KZN SALE
Jill Fox’s The Fort Stud will be handsomely represented at this year’s KZN Yearling Sale.
Not only will Jill be offering four yearlings on behalf of her own operation, but The Fort Stud is also acting as agent for six lots offered on behalf of the Mwetwood Stud.
Owned and operated by Jill Fox since 2006, The Fort Stud has bred, backed and pre-trained numerous winners of races in both South Africa and abroad, including Dubai, England, France, Germany and Mauritius.
Among the star equines to have pretrained at The Fort Stud are such G1 winners as Chocolicious, Orbison and the remarkable globetrotting sprinter War Artist.
Located in Fort Nottingham, The Fort Stud aims to produce horses which are mentally tough and physically sound.
The farm also prides itself on offering a range of services including backing and pre-training, spelling and the boarding of broodmares.
The Fort will be offering yearlings by both Brave Tin Soldier and Willow Magic (both of whom have sired G1 winners) at this year’s KZN Yearling Sale, with their quartet including Lightning Jimmy (Lot 110), a Willow Magic colt whose six time winning dam is a half-sister to Listed Southeaster Sprint winner Bereave.
The Fort Stud will be offering six lots on behalf of Mwetwood Stud, with this string comprised of yearlings sired by both the hugely promising Erupt and by New Approach’s exciting young sire son New Predator. This draft includes an Erupt filly (Lot 53) out of a full-sister to champion Link Man and an Erupt filly (Lot 113) out of a twice winning daughter of world leading sire Invincible Spirit.
This draft can be viewed at Block F at the Suncoast Casino in Durban.
