THE FLYING FLAG MAN
After his storming run in Saturday’s Daily News 2000, the Clifton Stud bred gelding Flag Man, trained by Gareth van Zyl, has rocketed to third favourite for the Hollywoodbets Durban July.
Flying largely under the radar until Saturday, Flag Man has grabbed the attention of many, who feel that based on his performance on Saturday, that he is a serious contendor, and its hoped that he can bring more glory to Clifton Stud, who won with Classic Flag back in 1988.
With the Grade One successes with Mrs Geriatrix to their credit, and an 47% winners to runners, Clifton Stud is showing the quality and depth of racing in KZN.
