Bush Hill’s resident sire King’s Chapel had his grand-daughter finish second in the Queen Adelaide Stakes Listed in Australia over 1050m, her first start out since her run in the Gr1 Blue Diamond Stakes at the end of February.
The two year old Sebring filly out of King’s Chapel’s best daughter, Princess Emmy, won the Gr3 Chairman’s Stakes previously as well as Magical Kingdom Listed and running second on debut in the Gr3 Emirates Airline Plate from all her starts.
King’s Chapel recently had another win in New Zealand as Yardarm taking home a 2000m trial in Cambridge, whilst eight year old King Montrose, a Gr3 winner won his 14th race at the end of April. From small crops to race in New Zealand, King’s Chapel had four winners in total for April.
The son of King Of Kings out of Lower Chapel by Sharpo averaged R210 000 for his yearlings sold at the recent National Yearling Sale.
His first progeny are racing this year in South Africa, and have already seen a win from City Express with Gr3 performed Malak El Moolook placing second twice from four starts for Sean Tarry, last time out just finishing half a length off Trading Profit over 1450m in Turffontein.
Mr McSteamy, out of Restructure mare Miss Andrea, placed on debut at Greyville just two lengths off the winner for owner Mr Richard Fitzgerald and trainer Garth Puller. The two year old gelding’s half-brother sold for R375 000 at the recent National Yearling Sale.
King’s Chapel stood for a fee of R15 000 in 2014.
