Six Length Win For Platina Princess

Michael Destombes owned Platina Princess won very impressively at Turffontein on Tuesday, the filly trained by Mike De Kock.

The daughter of Danon Platina finished second on race debut and followed up to win confidently under jockey Craig Zackey, relishing the 1450m on offer.

Bred by Summerhill Equestrian’s Henning Pretorius, who has produced an impressive four wins from just three runners including 3-time unbeaten Capetown Noir colt Cherry Ano, the common denominator between the two are both out of Kahal mares. Michael Destombe has also enjoyed recent success with Bold Act, whose dam Bold Ellinore is a Gr1 winner by Kahal.

Kahal is excelling as a broodmare sire and has produced three Black Type’s to date.

Broodmare Blonde Princess has produced three winners in her career thus far – her dam is champion 2yo filly Legally Blonde, from the family of Nobley Born and Trip Tease. It is also the close family of Blonde Act, who has won her last four starts in a row.

Pencil in this filly to follow for the future!
