Shanta’s Pride Breaks Maiden
A strapping filly owned by Hollywood Syndicate and named by KZN Commentator Craig Peters for his family, Shanta’s Pride impressed to win at the third time of asking after placing twice previously.
Trained by Peter Muscutt, the Bush Hill bred filly gave the Peter family immense pride to win from Rio Supremo over 1200m.
The big filly is by William Longsword out of Cassie O’Malley by Jet Master. Sold as “The BlackBird” at the National Yearling Sale, bred and consigned by Bush Hill Stud for R450 000, this is the family of Trust Antonia, Successful Bidder and Gold Flier.
The dam Cassie O’ Malley is a three time winner who placed in the Gr3 Flamboyant.
