Second Winner For Willow Magic

Willow Magic produced his second career winner on Wednesday at Hollywoodbets Greyville. Willow Express, a grey colt out of Western Winter mare Delmonica, bred by Stonehill Stud, won third time out for trainer Sean Tarry.

He debuted at Kenilworth in the beginning of the year, and had his second start against the now Hong Kong bound War Room in the Storm Bird Listed at Turffontein.

The handsome grey colt is owned in partnership by Messrs A Lahoud, M A Currie, Craig Zoghby, Riethaan Beleggings CC (Nom:Yana Da Corte) & Sean Tarry Racing (Pty) Ltd, and gave Lyle Hewitson his first win in KZN for Champions Season, since returning from Japan.

Willow Magic has had nine places, four of them in second place, and two winners to date from 10 runners.

Willow Magic was trained by Sean Tarry, and the first Gr1 winning son of Dubawi at stud in South Africa.

Sean Tarry has another Willow Magic running in this weekends Gr1 Allan Robertson Championship for 2yo fillies – Dubawi Princess, a half-sister to several multiple winners. She is Willow Magic’s first winner, who has also placed 3 times from 5 starts.

He stands at Summerhill Equestrian in the care of Henning Pretorius for the stallions’ syndicate.
