R40k Purchase Wins Gr3 Starling Stakes
A R40 000 purchase off the 2021 August 2YO Sale, Bush Hill bred Miss Daisy has given Billy Ruiters his first Graded Stakes winner with owner Mr Pooe after winning the Gr3 HSH Princess Charlene Starling Stakes on Saturday.
The daughter of the late Crusade out of Heliantha by Count Du Bois is from the family of Alastor and Gr1 winning export Eyes Wide Open.
She defeated a smart field including Award elect Gimme A Shot and the smart Feather Boa, as well as River Queraress.
She became a 4-time winner and has placed five times – only once missing a cheque in her career! She has in the process defeated the likes of Miss Cool and Mercury Rising and looks to be an exciting filly to follow for the balance of the season.
She has won R402 000 in stakes.
