The Scribante family’s Piemonte Stud continues to make waves in the South African racing industry.

Not only is the farm enjoying consistent success on the racetrack and in the sales ring, Piemonte Stud is also home to one exceptionally well bred stallion in the form of Capetown Noir.

A triple G1 winner himself, and South Africa’s champion miler of 2013-2014, Capetown Noir had a wonderful season in 2021-2022, where his son Bohica captured the G1 Pongracz Cape Flying Championship and daughter Under Your Spell, herself a previous G1 winner, downed a starstudded field of fillies to win the G2 World Sports Betting Fillies Guineas.

Piemonte Stud, home to that impeccably bred son of Western Winter, will be bringing some very well related two-year-olds to the August Two Year Old Sale, which takes place this month on August 26th and 27th respectively.

Their draft includes lots sired by a host of different sires namely Captain Of All, Erupt, Flying The Flag, Flower Alley, Global View, Lancaster Bomber, and New Approach’s talented son New Predator.

Potential standout lots in this consignment include Trombettista (Lot 36), a New Predator colt out of a half-sister to G3 winning two-year-old Brilliant Cut, Signora Bomba (Lot 52), a Lancaster Bomber filly whose dam won six and finished second in the Listed East Cape Breeders Stakes, and the classically bred Rosa Rossa (Lot 133). The latter is a filly by outstanding filly sire Flower Alley out of G2 Betting World Oaks winner Tajmeel, with this filly hailing from a top-class international family.

The Piemonte Stud draft can be viewed at the TBA Complex in Germiston in the days leading up to this year’s August Two Year Old Sale.
