Scott Bros National 2YO Sale Draft – 5 Colts In Supplementary Entries

The breeders of the Gr1 eLan Gold Cup with Mogok gelding Wild One, the Scott Bros have entered a large draft for the upcoming National Two Year Old Sale, with horses falling under the hammer on 13th & 14th August.

Amongst the Scott Bros’ draft are 5 colts that were erroneously left out of the main catalogue and can be found in the Supplemented pages – amongst them Lot 339, a full brother to unbeaten and previously named Corpus Christi, now renamed Angel’s Power.

Angel’s Power has now won both of his first two starts for trainers’ Brian Wiid and Michael Mahiakola at both Turffontein and Greyville over 1000m under Andrew Fortune, for owners Dr R J P Maponya & Mr E G Bouwer. The son of Miesque’s Approval out of Mogok mare Angel Child has a strong Scott Bros pedigree – but shares a damline through Distant Echoes with South Africa’s racing Champion Pocket Power, his full sister River Jetez and of course the speedy Harry’s Echoe, amongst many more. Full brother, Lot 339 named Holy Joe, is stabled for viewing in F27.

Another standout from our National Two Year Old Sales draft is Lot 255, a Mogok half-sister named Twinkle Town to now five-time winner Talktothestars. Talktothestars (by Overlord) won his fifth race just yesterday 2 August) at Turffontein, the win being the fourth consecutive for owner/trainer Mr F C De Beer over 1200m.

There are five two year olds on offer by Mogok, the sire of recent Gr1 eLan Gold Cup winner Wild One and three other Gr1 winners including Orbison, The Apache and Gypsy’s Warning. Mogok Master, out of Jet Master mare Bennie And the Jets, also ran fourth on the weekend in the Gr1 Premier’s Champion Stakes.
