Brian and Yolanda Burnards’ big talented chestnut son of Kahal notched up his first Bold Black Type win yesterday, coasting home to a quarter length victory in the Gr2 Joburg Spring Challenge.

Jumping from a seventh draw under jockey Keagen De Melo, KZN-bred No Worries defeated Midnight Run (Captain Al) and Snowdon (Western Winter) at even weight of 60kgs. The Summerhill-bred has now had four wins – his prior win being the KZN Breeders Million Mile.

No Worries, a graduate of Summerhill’s Summer Ready To Run Sale held in February where he fetched R420 000, the five year old gelding is trained by Gavin Van Zyl.

No Worries’ magnificent grey half-sister named Yoruba, by Visionaire out of Coastal Waltz by Rambo Dancer, sold at Nationals for R1,4million earlier this year.

No Worries has previously placed in top company over a consistent career – finishing just a nose off Vercingetorix in the Gr1 Daily News and gave Capetown Noir a galloping lesson – the latter finishing third to No Worries. No Worries went on to place fourth in the Gr1 Vodacom Durban July by three and half lengths to Heavy Metal and has placed consistently, never more than four lengths off – behind the likes of Jackson, Beach Beauty, Ice Machine and Master Of My Fate. He finished third to Futura in the Gr1 Beach Beauty Champions Cup, just two lengths off.

Dam Coastal Waltz is an 11-time winnner over distances of 1400 – 2000m, including the Jockey Club S (L). This is the immediate family of Royal Tours, Presidential Suite and Coastal Rock.

Congratulations to all concerned with this wonderful horse.
