Rules Of The KZN Breeders Premium Scheme:

In order to qualify for Premium claims, ensure the following:
– Registered and Paid up member of the KZN Breeders Association
– Registered with NHRA for the racing season August 2014 – July 2015
– Ownership of one mare or 4 x 25% shares in mares based in KZN to qualify
Forms
Affidavit:
– To be completed by ALL applicants submitting claims in respect of Breeder and Stallion premiums, and homebred, owned and unsold fillies/mares returning to stud for the racing year ended July 2014.
– Claims will not be processed without a valid affidavit present
Yearling Registration (2014 Crop only)
– Only yearlings are applicable and R100 each to register
– Two Year Olds incur a penalty of R1 000 each to register
– Three year olds not applicable under any circumstances
– Please check the rules Pg10 point 6 to see if your foal by a stallion outside of KZN qualifies as a KZN-bred.
Reinvestment
– Mares purchased for stud purposes
– Stallion services or shares purchased – KZN-based only
– No colts for racing purposes are to be recorded
– ONLY stallions standing in KZN qualify for reinvestment
– Proof of purchase in the form of an invoice/statement/proof of payment to be attached for each transaction recorded
Breeders Premium Claims
– Registered ‘KZN-bred’ horses who have earned stakes over the past racing season August 2013 – July 2014
– Stakes figures sourced from NHRA – ‘RAC17 Breeder’
– Sufficient Reinvestment needs to be lodged to cover the extent of the claim
– Form must be correct with Sire and Dam present
Stallion Premium Claims
– Registered ‘KZN-bred’ horses who have earned stakes over the past racing season August 2013 – July 2014
– Stakes figures sourced from NHRA – ‘RAC17 Stallion’
– Sufficient Reinvestment needs to be lodged to cover the extent of the claim
– Non-KZN Based Stallion Coverings do not qualify for Stallion Premiums
– Only Stallion Shareholders to submit claims – services purchased to cover not applicable
– If you are a shareholder you must be satisfied with the mares listed on the Covering Schedule, submitted by Stallion Owners/Managers
Stallion Covering Schedules are sent in January 2016 to Stud Owners/Managers – to be returned April 2016
