Congratulations to Jane Thomas of Far End Farm on their pre-training graduate Red Barrel who won the R2 million Emperor’s Palace Ready To Run Cup yesterday – and this being the colt’s second start after winning his maiden 1.25 lengths on the 4 October.
Mike de Kock describes the colt has being one of the nicer yearlings at last year’s Ready To Run Sale – and looks well worth his price tag of just R350 000 after winning the Emperor’s Palace Ready To Run Cup yesterday.
The 2011 Ready-To-Run Sale takes place today and with graduates such as current Horse-Of-The-Year Igugu(AUS) and Pierre Jourdan – both Summerhill Sales graduates with the latter purchased for just R60 000 – coming off this sale, it will be well worth the visit to purchase some quality horse-flesh with the incentive of each horse coming off this sale being eligble to enter the R2million race above.
